The galvalume base consists of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon, combining aluminum’s corrosion resistance with zinc’s sacrificial protection. The production process involves:
- Base Material: Galvalume steel coils (hot-dip coated with aluminum-zinc alloy).
- Pretreatment: Cleaning and chemical conversion coating to enhance paint adhesion.
- Primer and Top/Back Coatings: Layers of polyester (PE), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), or silicone-modified polyester (SMP) applied via continuous coating lines.
